Titan Tornado V2

$29.99

Tornado V2 represents the first release of a new generation of Titan Dynamics aircraft. Built with a focus on toolless assembly and usability, the Tornado V2 features removable wings with telescoping spars and wing connectors that make field assembly a breeze, no longer requiring fussing with wiring in the fuselage. The hatch is also toolless, featuring a printed compliant mechanism latch making it easy to remove and reinstall. To increase longevity and prevent damage from landing on rough surfaces, both small TPU skids and a larger “mega skid” covering the entire bottom is included. Battery placement no longer requires guesswork, with the use of an adjustable battery stopper so you can place the battery exactly where it hits CG every time. From an aerodynamic perspective, the Tornado V2 features lowered interference drag with smooth wing/stab to fuselage joins and improved printability on the trailing edges to lower excrescence drag. Mounting points for antennae, receivers, VTX’s and other accessories have been sprinkled throughout the fuselage and wing making it ultra-compatible with any electronics you choose to use. Just like V1, V2 is designed for high-speed fun, with the same locked-in point-and-shoot flying characteristics. We encourage you to build it exactly the way you want and have as much fun with it as possible.

Transportability and usability are at the core of the Tornado V2’s design philosophy. The wings feature telescoping spars as well as wing connector housings which allow you to glue servo extensions and MR60 connectors to them, allowing for a fully toolless operation

Designed for longevity, the Torando V2 features optional skids. Depending on your landing surface, you can either print TPU skids or the “mega skid” which can be printed in multiple-walls with high infill covering the entire belly of the craft.

The vertical stabilizer (Vstab) features multiple options for mounting cameras or other accessories to it with a built-in wire channel

Mounting spots for antennae, receivers and other accessories are sprinkled throughout optional parts

A variety of changeable noses are included, such as for analog 19mm cameras, walksnail, gopro7 and 11, pan/tilt mount, airspeed sensor or blank

There is a lot of space in the fuselage to fit a large battery (such as 6S2P 21700). There are 50x50 and 30.5x30.5 mounting points for avionics, as well as a battery stopper which can be slid and screwed down to where the battery is installed removing guesswork at the field when it comes to hitting CG

The hatch and wing feature printed compliant mechanisms which allow for toolless removal and reinstall. The wing clips can be depressed in order to release the wing, and the little handle on the hatch can be pressed inwards to remove the hatch. These mechanisms have been tested to 11G’s repeatedly to validate them for air-worthiness

The wing and stabilizers feature a rounded trailing edge which allows for finer print quality, eliminating blobs of filament that form around a sharp trailing edge
